Farmer gunned down in Palawan

MANILA, Philippines — A farmer was gunned down by still unidentified assailants in Roxas town in Palawan, police said on Monday.

A report from the Roxas Municipal Police identified the victim as Remart Occena, 30, who was shot dead with an unknown caliber of firearm at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday in Sitio Ibangan, Barangay Abaroan.

Police are investigating the incident and have yet to determine the motive for the crime. /je
