MMDA lifts number coding for PUVs on Monday, Sept. 30
MANILA, Philippines — The number-coding scheme is lifted on Monday, Sept. 30, for public utility vehicles (PUV), the Metropolitan Manila Development Manila (MMDA) announced Sunday.
The MMDA suspended the scheme to prevent a shortage of PUVs due to a nationwide transport strike.
The strike will be staged to protest the looming implementation of the PUV modernization program, which is expected to roll out in 2020.
