Gov’t security escorts from C. Luzon recalled for SEA Games

/ 08:54 PM September 29, 2019

MANILA, Philippines — Government officials with security escorts coming from the Central Luzon Police Regional Office (PRO 3) have been informed of the recall of their escorts in preparation for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Sunday.

PNP said the recall was done as the security details were “needed to prepare for, and maximize the security deployment for the SEA Games,” which will be held in Central Luzon this November.

“The PRO3’s number of personnel remains short of the required manpower and it needs the presence of all its personnel to ensure safety of all athletes both local and foreign,” PNP said in a statement.

The recall will only apply until the SEA Games is over.
