CITY OF CALAPAN — More than P200,000 cash was taken by robbers from four employees of a distribution company that they held up on Saturday night in Calintaan town in Occidental Mindoro province, police said Sunday.
Report by Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan (Mimaropa) police said that the four male employees of Mindoro Distribution Specialist Incorporation Company were onboard two Isuzu forward trucks when the incident happened at about 10 p.m. in Barangay (village) Concepcion.
When the employees had to park to check on the lights because of an electrical problem with one of the trucks, four unidentified men on two motorcycles arrived and ordered them to lie down on the ground at gunpoint.
The robbers took away two bags from the employees which contained cash amounting to about P240,000 and three mobile phones.
The suspects then fired shots at them and fled towards the direction of the Sablayan town. No one was hurt.
Police launched a pursuit operations against the suspects Sunday. /je
