Sept. 29 to Oct. 1: Kawayanan Festival

The town of Gloria in Oriental Mindoro province celebrates its 55th founding anniversary and the 16th year of Kawayanan Festival, with the theme “Tunay ngang Gloria sa Amin.”

Activities include traditional games, trade fair, grand parade and street dancing.

A religious festival in Meycauayan City in Bulacan province that pays homage to the town’s patron, St. Francis of Assisi, who is also the patron saint of animals and the environment.

Devotees take part in the novena and procession. There will also be free vaccination and blessing of animals.
