MANILA, Philippines — A former executive assistant of the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) was gunned down by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Quezon City on Saturday afternoon.
The Quezon City Police District identified the victim as Abdulrashid Ladayao Sr., 53.
Police said Ladayao was shot by an unidentified man who was wearing a mask and helmet while driving a motorcycle along Manager Street in Barangay Sangandaan at 3:25 p.m.
Ladayao was taken to the Metro North Medical Center and Hospital at 4:20 p.m., where he later died.
