MANILA, Philippines — A taxi operator and a driver died after an unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen shot them in Quezon City on Saturday morning.
Lt. Col. Joel Villanueva, Batasan police station commander, identified the victims as Jordan So, 45, taxi operator of Quad Core, and Roger Soquita, 34, an applicant taxi driver and a resident of Barangay Payatas.
So and Soquita were sitting outside the office of Quad Core along St. Joseph Street in Barangay Payatas at 8 a.m. when unidentified men on board a motorcycle shot them. Soquita was applying as a taxi driver.
The two died on the spot.
Police found 11 fired cartridge cases and four deformed bullets.
Further investigation was being conducted to identify the suspects, Villanueva said.
