Even as Congress is set to postpone the village and youth polls, the Commission on Elections still sees an influx of last-minute registrants as its two-monthlong registration period ends.

Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said that like previous registrations,  they expect the public to flock to their offices and satellite sites on Saturday and Monday, the last two days of the voter registration period.

“Comelec has anticipated this and we are confident that our employees in the field are prepared,” Jimenez said.

Under Comelec Resolution No. 10549, if there is still a queue by the end of the registration period, the poll body will list down the names of those individuals within a 30-meter radius of the election office by 3 p.m. on Monday. —Jovic Yee
