Isko Moreno urges ‘drug queen’, family to surface

MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Isko Moreno urged on Wednesday the alleged “drug queen” of Manila to surface and answer the allegations hurled against her by authorities.

Moreno also called on the family of Guia Gomez Castro to come out and participate in the investigation.

Police authorities and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency earlier tagged Castro as the person involved in the recycling of seized drugs. She is also in cahoots with corrupt policemen, the authorities added.

“Ang mga ganitong akusasyon ay ang tanging solusyon dito, to ex-chairman Guia Gomez Castro, ay kayo po ay magpaliwanag sa opisina ng NCR director ng PNP at ng PDEA,” Moreno said in a Facebook live.

He assured the family members of Castro of assistance if they would see the police and air their side.

According to Moreno, the local government of Manila would also assist Castro when she decided to surface.

The Bureau of Immigration confirmed on Wednesday that Castro is already out of the country.
