Barangay kagawad shot dead in Pampanga

MANILA, Philippines — A barangay kagawad was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen in Arayat, Pampanga on Wednesday morning, Col. Jean Fajardo, chief of the Pampanga Police Provincial Office said.

The victim was identified as Noel Cabungcal, who is barangay kagawad of Tabuan, Arayat Pampanga.

Initial investigation showed that Cabungcal was driving his Ford EcoSport car along O.G. Road in Barangay Camba when unidentified armed men shot him at around 6 a.m.

Fajardo said Cabungcal died on the spot. Probers are still conducting a follow-up investigation to identify the gunmen.  /muf
