11-day water supply interruptions in parts of Metro Manila, Cavite

Maynilad Water Services Inc. will implement an 11-day water service cut off from September 27 to October 7, 2019, in some parts of Metro Manila and Cavite as it begins the second phase of its treatment plant in Muntinlupa City. INQUIRER.net/Katherine G. Adraneda

MANILA, Philippines — Customers of Maynilad Water Services, Inc. should prepare for an 11-day water service interruption from September 27 until October 7 as the firm starts the second phase of its treatment plant in Muntinlupa City.

Affected areas include Las Piñas, Parañaque, Muntinlupa as well as Imus and Bacoor in Cavite, Maynilad announced in a Facebook post over the weekend.

Affected customers are advised to store enough water for the duration of the water service interruptions.

“Maynilad has 30 water tankers on standby, ready to deliver water to affected areas as needed,” the west zone water concessionaire said.

“Upon resumption of the water service, customers should let the water flow out for a few seconds until the water clears,” it added. /kga
