MANILA, Philippines — Overcast skies with rain showers and isolated thunderstorms may be expected over Batanes, Isabela, and Cagayan, including Babuyan group of Islands, on Wednesday due to the northeasterly surface wind flow.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued this forecast in its 4 a.m. advisory, along with a general prediction that the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms for Wednesday.
The state weather bureau, however, warned that flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.
Pagasa also said that wind speed for northern Luzon will be “strong” while moving northeast as coastal waters will be “moderate to rough.”
For the rest of the country, the forecast wind speed is “light to moderate” moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will remain “slight to moderate.” /kga
