3 drugs suspects slain in shootout with Bulacan cops; 40 others nabbed

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, BULACAN –– Three drug suspects were killed after they reportedly engaged policemen in a shootout during a series of buy-bust operations in the province since Sunday.

Col. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director, on Tuesday identified them as Edwin Soy, Tyron Kriel Principio, and a certain “Marvin.”

The three were killed in separate anti-narcotics operations in the towns of San Rafael, San Ildefonso and Pulilan on Sunday and Tuesday.

Recovered from the slain drug suspects were 19 sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth), .45-caliber and .38-caliber firearms.

Forty other drug suspects in different towns were arrested during the buy-bust operations. Carmela Reyes-Estrope/lzb
