Son of ex-boxer Rolando Navarette gunned down in GenSan
MANILA, Philippines – The son of former boxer Rolando Navarette was gunned down by still unidentified assailants in General Santos City, police said Tuesday.
Initial investigation showed Rolando Navarette Jr. was walking with his live-in partner towards a nearby store in Barangay Lagao when the assailants onboard a motorcycle suddenly appeared and shot the victim around 8 p.m. Monday.
A police report said the victim died on arrival at the Socsargen County Hospital. The attackers, meanwhile, fled towards an unknown direction after the incident.

Recovered from the crime scene were two spent shells believed to be from a caliber .45 pistol.
Investigators have yet to identify the motive behind the incident. /kga
