Man goes berserk at alcohol binge, hacks dead 2 drinking buddies
CITY OF ILAGAN–Police here on Sunday, Sept. 22, arrested a 29-year-old carpenter who allegedly hacked to death his two drinking buddies.
Supt. Arnulfo Ibanez, Ilagan police chief, identified the suspect as Resty Mateo, age unknown, and the fatalities as Rodel Versoza, 23, and Gerry Timbreza, 34, both residents of Barangay Pasa.
Investigators said Mateo was irked by his buddies taunting him.

Mateo, investigators said, drew his bolo and attacked Versoza and Timpreza, who were rushed to a hospital but declared dead there.
