Moderate to heavy rain showers in Metro, parts of Luzon — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Moderate to heavy rain showers are expected over several areas in Luzon on Monday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In an advisory released 3:28 p.m., the state weather bureau said the rain showers will be accompanied by lightning and strong winds and may affect Metro Manila, Nueva Ecija, Zambales, Laguna and Batangas within the next two hours.

Pagasa added that several areas in Bulacan, Rizal, and Quezon province are also experiencing the rain showers.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” Pagasa said. /je
