3.4-magnitude earthquake rocks Catanduanes — Phivolcs
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3.4 earthquake struck the province of Catanduanes on Saturday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
In its earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the tremor hit 19 kilometers (km) northeast of Panganiban (Payo), Catanduanes at 8:24 a.m.
The earthquake was of tectonic origin and had a depth of 11 km.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks and damage are expected from the earthquake. /muf
