MANILA, Philippines — Some domestic flights were canceled Thursday due to Tropical Depression “Nimfa,” the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) said.
In an advisory, Miaa said the following flights have been called off:
Cebu Pacific
5J 506 Manila – Tuguegarao
5J 507 Tuguegarao – Manila
According to the latest update from the state weather bureau, Nimfa was last spotted 715 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes, packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 70 kph.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro will have frequent light to moderate with occasional heavy rains.
Meanwhile, occasional light to moderate rain with at times heavy rain during thunderstorms will affect Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, Pagasa added. /kga
