MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression “Nimfa” is now moving slowly west over the northern portion of the Philippine Sea, the state weather bureau said Thursday.
In its 11 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said “Nimfa” was last spotted 715 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes.
Nimfa is packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 70 kph.
Frequent light to moderate with occasional heavy rain will be experienced over the Ilocos region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro.
Meanwhile, occasional light to moderate rain with at times heavy rain during thunderstorms will affect Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. /muf
