Fire hits residential-office building in QC

MANILA, Philippines — Fire hit a residential-office building in Quezon City early Saturday but has since been brought under control, a Bureau of Fire Protection officer said.

Fire Officer 1 Paulo Emmanuel Terea said that the blaze, which started around 8:44 a.m., hit a two-story residential-office along Mindanao Avenue, Barangay (village) Ugnayan in Quezon City.

Terea said that it reached Task Force Alpha at 9:09 a.m. before it was contained around 9:49 a.m.

The cause and origin of the fire, as well as the cost of damages it has brought, have yet to be determined, Terea said.

As of the moment, he said that there were no reported injuries and casualties yet.
