LEGAZPI CITY –– An Indian national was shot by an unidentified motorcycle-riding gunman along the diversion road in Pili town, Camarines Sur on Wednesday morning.

Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Bicol police, said Ranjeet Sidhu was riding a motorcycle driven by Joemar Guevarra when they were fired at by the assailant in Barangay Anayan around 9:45 a.m.

Sidhu suffered a bullet wound on his chest and was rushed to the Mother Seton Hospital in Naga City for treatment.

Calubaquib said investigators were looking at business rivalry or lending as a motive in the shooting. /lzb
