MANILA, Philippines — Several areas in Luzon including Metro Manila are expected to experience light to moderate rains on Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.
In its advisory released 2 p.m., the state weather bureau said light to moderate rains are likely to affect Metro Manila, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Zambales, Batangas, Rizal, Tarlac, Cavite, Laguna, and Quezon.
“Residents in these areas are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flashfloods in low lying areas and landslides over mountainous areas,” Pagasa noted.
Pagasa said the two low-pressure areas (LPA) within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as well as the southwest monsoon will continue bringing rain to parts of Luzon. /kga
