WATCH: Go Malasakit TV program features heart patient

“Go Malasakit,” the public service program of  Inquirer 990 TV features success stories about the Malasakit Center, a flagship project of Senator Bong Go,  which offers government health assistance.

It was a typical day for Mae Gape. At 2:30 in the morning, Mae was cooking viand for her partner Nenita.

While cooking, Mae felt dizzy and vomited.

Her partner Nenita decided to rush Mae to Valenzuela Emergency Hospital in Valenzuela City.

Mae’s blood pressure spiked to 200/180.

Based on doctor’s diagnosis, Mae suffered cardiovascular disease.

Her hospital bill ballooned up to a thousand pesos.

It was then that Nenita learned that Malasakit Center, a flagship program of Senator Bong Go, opened in Valenzuela Emergency Hospital.

Nenita simply brought the hospital bill to Malasakit Center and did not pay even a single centavo.

“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa Malasakit Center dahil wala na kaming binayaran sa ospital, malaking tulong po iyon sa amin,” said Nenita.

Nenita and Mae’s story was aired over ‘Go Malasakit,’ a public service program of Radyo Inquirer that features touching stories of Malasakit Center.
