Body with burned head found in Camarines Sur town
LEGAZPI CITY –– The body of an unknown victim was found with a head that was “totally burned” and without lower garments in the town of Sagñay in Camarines Sur on Monday morning.
Sagñay police initially thought that the body was dumped at the roadside in Sitio (sub-village) Rawis in Patitinan village, but a bullet shell was discovered near the body, leading police to believe that the victim may have been killed in the area, municipal administrator Marjun San Felipe told Inquirer.
He said it was hard to identify the victim because the head was “totally burned.”
“The victim was wearing a thin reddish floral shirt,” San Felipe said, adding that the victim was discovered face down on the ground around 6:30 a.m.
San Felipe said the body was brought to Pesimo Funeral Homes in the neighboring town of Tigaon, where authorities would wait for family members who may identify the victim. Rey Anthony Ostria/lzb
