Pagasa: Yellow rainfall warning in parts of Zambales

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) raised the yellow rainfall warning over parts of Zambales at 8 a.m. on Monday.

Covered by the rainfall warning are Iba, Botolan, Cabangan, San Felipe, San Narciso and San Antonio.

A yellow rainfall warning is usually raised when 7.5 to 15-millimeters of rain is accumulated in a span of an hour and is expected to persist for the next two hours.

Flooding may occur in flood-prone areas, Pagasa warned.

Meanwhile light to moderate rain showers are expected in Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Quezon and Tarlac within the next two to three hours.

Metro Manila, Cavite, Rizal, Bataan, Laguna, and Batangas may experience light to moderate with occasional heavy rains which may persist for 2 to 3 hours, Pagasa said.

The next rainfall warning will be issued at 11 a.m.
