Habagat to dampen parts of Luzon, Visayas

MANILA, Philippines—The southwest monsoon or habagat will continue to bring rain to Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Western Visayas on Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its weather update issued 4 a.m. Monday, Pagasa said there will be cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa and Western Visayas.

Flash floods or landslides may occur in the said areas due to occasional heavy rains, Pagasa warned.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms
