Sept. 15 to 16: Am-among Festival

The municipality of Bontoc in Mountain Province celebrates its 111th anniversary with the theme, “One Community, One History, One Future.”

The festival, which highlights Bontoc’s rich history and cultural heritage, will close with a cheerdance competition, street dancing and cultural presentation.

Sept. 16 to 22: Bañamos Festival

Weeklong celebration of the 404th founding anniversary of Los Baños, Laguna province, with the theme, “Tagumpay ng Bayan ay Matatamasa ng Mamamayang Nagkakaisa.”

Activities include a festival of talents, cultural show, himigsikan, people’s night and civic parade.

Sept. 15 to 22: Feast of Our Lady of Peñafrancia

Culmination of the nine-day novena in Naga City honoring Our Lady of Peñafrancia, or “Ina,” the patroness of Bicol region. Millions of devotees are drawn in to the festival that starts with a traslacion from the old Peñafrancia Shrine to Naga Metropolitan Cathedral.

The novena ends with a fluvial procession along the Naga River.
