Half-a-kilo of shabu seized in Marawi drug raid

ILIGAN CITY –– Authorities arrested seven individuals Sunday afternoon, Sept. 8, in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Marawi in Marawi City that netted half-a-kilo of crystal meth or shabu worth P1.9 million.

Police Major Cris Cabugwang, chief of the Lanao del Sur Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, identified the suspects as Asmina Paudac, 27, Olaw Disimban, 42, Jaffar Ali, 35, Maco Murun, 35, Arafat Dalomabao, 41, Salima Mimbalawag, 40, and Jalaloden Macapando, 26.

All are residents of Lanao del Sur, according to Cabugwang.

Authorities also confiscated a mobile phone from one of the suspects believed to be used in transacting their illegal business.

The suspects were detained at the Marawi City police station as charges were being prepared against them./lzb
