HERMOSA, Bataan — Incessant rains on Monday triggered flood up to waist-deep in three low-lying villages in this town, local disaster officials said.
Villagers in Almacen, Polo and San Pedro said they observed murky and blackish flood water, which they believed could have been from a dressed chicken plant in the town.
In Dinalupihan town, Barangay San Ramon was submerged in 3-feet flood water that damaged rice fields and inundated fish ponds.
Classes at all levels in Hermosa, Dinalupihan, and Orani towns were suspended on Monday morning.
In Orani, several low-lying areas were also under 3-feet flood water.
In Balanga city, the coastal villages of Puerto Rivas Itaas and Puerto Rivas Ibaba were also flooded./lzb
