Lawyer gunned down while dining in Antipolo fast-food chain
SAN PEDRO CITY –– A 73-year-old lawyer was shot and killed while he and his family were having lunch in a fast-food restaurant in Antipolo City in Rizal province.
In a phone interview Friday, city police chief Col. Alvin Consolacion said they were looking into the recent cases handled by lawyer Irineo Michael Cabugoy, as the investigation into the killing continued.
“He was handling (property) disputes. We’re looking into those,” Consolacion said but adding that they had yet to find a definite motive in the attack.
According to the police, Cabugoy was having lunch at a fast-food chain in Barangay San Roque, when a lone gunman came up to him and shot him in the head around noon Thursday.
Cabugoy died while being taken to the Antipolo Doctors’ Hospital.
