10:57 AM September 06, 2019

LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested a city traffic enforcer and his cohort in a buy-bust operation here shortly before midnight Thursday.

Eric Lagos, 48, a traffic enforcer, and Marianita Ganzon, 45, were collared by anti-illegal drugs operatives after the couple sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to a police agent in a transaction in Barangay Dalahican at 9:50 p.m., Lt. Col. Reydante Ariza, Lucena police chief, said in a report.

Authorities seized five sachets of shabu weighing 3.52 grams worth P19,360 in the street market.

Law enforcement authorities said the suspects, who are not residents of the coastal village, are the suppliers of the illegal drug to out-of-school youth, tricycle drivers, dockworkers, and fishermen in the said area. Delfin T. Mallari Jr./lb
