In a statement on Friday, the MRT-3 management said the cable of the Overhead Catenary System at the Guadalupe station (northbound) in Makati City was cut off, adversely affecting the entire railway system’s power supply distribution.
Repairs are ongoing, MRT-3 management said.
In a separate statement, the MRT-3 said it is working to start partial service from North Avenue Station to Shaw Boulevard by 12 noon and full operation from North Avenue station to Taft Avenue station before 5 p.m.
Buses and trucks have been deployed by MRT-3 management and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority to help transport the more than 7,000 affected passengers.
“Thank you and we are sorry for the inconvenience,” MRT-3 management said in a statement. /gsg
