Road crash kills Apayao town budget officer

TUGUEGARAO CITY –– The budget officer of Conner town in Apayao province died after his car hit a roadside arc at the national highway in Cagayan province on Wednesday night, police said.

Killed was Reynaldo Bugnay Sr., 59, a resident of Manag village in Conner, Cagayan.

Investigators said Bugnay was headed to this city when his steering wheel malfunctioned, causing his car to crash against the arc at the road shoulder.

Due to the impact, the accident left the car in a total wreck while Bugnay was declared dead on arrival at a hospital. Villamor Visaya Jr. /lzb
