2 Chinese men nabbed for alleged rape of maid in Parañaque

MANILA, Philippines — Two Chinese men were arrested after allegedly raping their house helper in Parañaque City, police said on Tuesday.

The Parañaque City Police Station identified the suspects as Yongsheng Zhao, 20, and Zhangqiu Cheng, 36, who are both call center agents.

Police said the 27-year-old stay-in maid was sleeping when the two men allegedly raped her inside a house in Barangay Baclaran at around 3 a.m. on Monday.

Both suspects were reportedly drunk during the incident, police said.

The victim sought help from security guards who reported the incident to police.

Suspects were brought to the police station while the complaint was referred to Women and Children’s Protection Desk.
