Snatcher’ killed in Rizal town clash with police
SAN PEDRO CITY—A suspected thief was killed and his alleged cohort escaped following a clash with police in the town of Taytay, Rizal province on Tuesday (Sept. 3).
The slain suspect was identified only as a “Michael Nguso.”
The Calabqrzon police said the two suspects were believed to have snatched a mobile phone from a resident at the village of San Jose in Antipolo City.
The victim ran to police for help which gave chase to the suspects who boarded a public utility jeep and got off at the village of Dolores in Taytay. Police had cornered the suspects when the two men opened fire. Maricar Cinco/TSB
