MANILA, Philippines – Parts of several Metro Manila roads, including Edsa will be closed to vehicular traffic from Friday night until Monday morning for re-blocking and repairs.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Friday that the following roads will be closed starting 11 p.m. Friday (August 30) until 5 a.m. Monday (September 2):
Southbound:
-Edsa: Cor. Bulacan St. to Philam (1st lane from center island)
-Edsa: Eugenio Lopez / Timog / MRT Station Lagarian Creek to Arayat, Cubao
-C-5 Road: C.P Garcia Bridge approach B (innermost lane)
-Taguig City fronting Palar Village 245 M before KM 17+000 (2nd innermost lane)
-Edsa between West Avenue and Philam Village
Eastbound:
-Quirino Highway – Junji St. to Camilo Osias (outer lane)
-Elliptical Road before Commonwealth Ave. (5th lane from outer sidewalk)
Westbound:
-Novaliches: General Luis Oriental Tin to Rebisco
Northbound:
-A. Bonifacio Avenue near Sgt. Rivera St. (1st lane from the sidewalk)
-Batasan/San Mateo Road: Sapphire Drive to Presidential Road. (1st lane from center)
-Edsa Main Avenue to P. Tuazon (1st lane from the sidewalk)
The MMDA advised motorists to avoid the said roads and use alternate routes instead.
It assured motorists that the affected roads will be opened to traffic by 5 a.m. on Monday. /gsg
