DID YOU KNOW: 2,351 foreigners barred entry in 1st half of 2019
According to the Bureau of Immigration, from January to June 2019, it barred 2,351 foreigners from entering the country.
A total of 1,920 of them were turned away at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City while the rest were intercepted in the airports of Mactan, Clark, Kalibo, Aklan and Davao.
Chinese nationals topped the list of excluded aliens at 1,129, followed by 106 Indians, 87 Americans, 52 Taiwanese and 67 Koreans. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
