MANILA, Philippines — Some parts of Luzon will experience moderate to heavy rains on Wednesday afternoon, the state weather bureau said.
In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 12:30 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that parts of Luzon such as Nueva Ecija, Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Laguna and Quezon province will experience moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds.
The affected areas will experience such weather conditions within the next two hours, Pagasa added.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” the advisory read.
On Wednesday, Pagasa reported that the country’s latest weather disturbance “Jenny” once again intensified into a tropical storm as it exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
The state weather bureau also lifted all storm warning signals due to Jenny’s impending exit expected to happen on Wednesday afternoon. /jpv
