MANILA, Philippines – Several domestic flights were canceled on Wednesday due to inclement weather caused by Tropical Depression Jenny.
In its flight advisory on Wednesday morning, the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) announced the cancellation of the following flights:
Skyjet
M8 816 Manila — Basco
M8 817 Basco — Manila
Cebu Pacific
5J 771 Manila – Pagadian
5J 772 Pagadian – Manila
CebGo
DG 6111 Manila – Naga
DG 6112 Naga – Manila
The weather bureau said that the Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon and Cagayan Valley could experience rains with gusty winds, even as the weather disturbances moves away from the country.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila, Western Visayas, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the Bicol region are expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.
The Visayas and Mindanao may also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms, the weather bureau said.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that “Jenny” is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) within the day. /gsg
