MANILA, Philippines – Parts of Luzon may experience a rainy Wednesday even as Tropical Depression Jenny is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, Pagasa said the Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon and Cagayan Valley may experience rains with gusty winds due to the exiting tropical depression.
“Jenny” was last spotted 125 kilometers northwest of Dagupan City, Pangasinan with maximum sustained winds of up to 55 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 85 kilometers per hour.
It is currently moving west-northwest at 34 kilometers per hour.
It has reached the Lingayen Gulf at about 3 a.m., according to Pagasa.
Jenny is expected to be 685 kilometers west of Dagupan City by Thursday morning.
Metro Manila, Western Visayas, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the Bicol region, meanwhile, are expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.
The Visayas and Mindanao may also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Pagasa said “Jenny” made landfall in Casiguran, Aurora at10:40 p.m. on Tuesday and was downgraded to a tropical depression but may intensify into a tropical storm on its way out of the PAR.
