DID YOU KNOW: PSA records 585,798 deaths nationwide in 2018

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, a total of 585,798 deaths were registered nationwide in 2018, with three cities in the National Capital Region figuring in the top five.

Quezon City posted the most number of registered deaths at 16,721, followed by Manila with 12,056, Davao City with 9,345, Caloocan City with 8,529, and Cebu City with 6,477.—Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
