Motorcycle assassins strike amid martial law, kill call center agent in Digos

DIGOS CITY – A 50-year old female call center agent was killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen on Friday morning (Aug. 23) at the village of San Miguel here, police said

Senior MSgt Reagan Patricio, of the Digos police, said Estrella Baisok Camallere, resident of the village and call center agent in Davao City, was walking alone from her house to catch a ride for a land case hearing at the Regional Trial Court when the attackers came.

Camallere suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Witnesses, according to police, saw the attackers aboard a black motorcycle. The driver wore denim pants and jacket while the other assailant was wearing a gray jacket.

No valuable was missing in the victim’s bag which contained two wrist watches, P3,000 in cash, her identification card and other items.

Patricio said police are investigating the motive for the attack, which came as the whole of Mindanao continued to be under martial law./tsb
