MANILA, Philippines — Several roads in Metro Manila experienced flooding on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, due to rains brought by severe tropical storm “Ineng.”

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported the following roads as flooded due to heavy rain:
- Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City (19 inches flood, not passable to light vehicles)
- Tramo before Circulo del Mundo Eastbound (8 inches flood, passable to all types of vehicles)
- Edsa Roxas Boulevard Flyover to Baclaran Church (8 inches, passable to all types of vehicles)
In its 8 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Metro Manila will experience light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains due to Severe Tropical Storm “Ineng.”
The severe tropical storm is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility Saturday afternoon, the state weather bureau added. /muf
