MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Oscar Albayalde has designated Brig. Gen. Emmanuel Luis Licup as the new PNP director for operations.
PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac said Licup, outgoing deputy director of the PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM), will replace Maj. Gen. Mao Aplasca, who is set to retire Thursday.
The PNP’s DPRM is mandated to help the PNP chief in “supervision and directing police operations, organization, employment and deployment of police personnel and public safety training of the PNP.”
Albayalde also appointed Brig. Gen. Rodolfo Azurin as the new deputy director of the PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management.
Brig. Gen. Adolfo Samala Jr. was named as deputy director of the PNP Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development.
Col. Rolando Miranda was appointed as acting executive officer of the PNP Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development.
Col. Robert Rodriguez was assigned as acting executive officer of the PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management. /jpv
