MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3.7 earthquake rocked Wao, Lanao del Sur on Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake struck at 12:42 p.m. with its epicenter recorded some eight kilometers northwest of Wao.
It was also felt at Intensity I in Cagayan de Oro City.
According to Phivolcs, the tremor was of tectonic origin and had a two-kilometer depth of focus.
No aftershocks and damages were expected from the quake, Phivolcs added. /kga
