LUCENA CITY — A motorcycle rider died after being hit by a van along the Quirino Highway in Tagkawayan town in Quezon province early Wednesday.
Farmer Mario Hernandez, 46, while negotiating the highway, reportedly swerved to the opposite lane and accidentally bumped into a Manila-bound van being driven by Arjay Papa, a report from the Tagkawayan
police said.
The accident happened in Barangay San Francisco around 12:45 a.m.
The victim died while being taken to Maria L. Eleazar Memorial District Hospital at the town center due to grave body injuries.
Report said the victim had no drivers license. /lzb
