Suspected drug pusher dead in Lucena

LUCENA CITY –– A suspected drug pusher was killed in an alleged shootout with policemen in this city Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Robert Jhon Fulgar, 25, was killed in a reported shootout with anti-illegal drugs operatives after he allegedly sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in Barangay Ilayang Iyam at 1:30 p.m., Lucena police chief Lt. Colonel Reydante Ariza, said in a report.


Fulgar was about to be arrested when he reportedly ran inside his house, got his caliber .38 revolver and shot the police agent but missed.

Another police officer who was serving as back up returned fire and killed the suspect on the spot.


Aside from the firearm, the authorities also confiscated five sachets containing 1.25 grams of shabu.

Police said Fulgar was in the police list of local drug personalities. /lzb
