UPLB grad tops veterinarian licensure exam

MANILA, Philippines — A graduate of the University of the Philippines – Los Baños led the 516 passers of the veterinarian licensure exam in August 2019, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Monday.

The PRC said UPLB’s Ian Cary Bolante Prado topped the exam after garnering a rating of 85.46%, followed by Paul Dela Cruz Valcorza Jr from Central Mindanao University with 85.34%, and Karl Robert Florida Ador from Central Bicol State University for Agriculture with 85.24%.

Other successful examinees who garnered the top 10 highest ratings in the licensure exam include:

  • Jan Clyden Bullag Tenorio from University of Southern Mindanao-Kabacan: 84.90%
  • Nikki Polistico Amarado from Visayas State University-Baybay: 84.18%
  • Kyle Alia Tumapang from Central Mindanao University: 84.12%
  • Rudolph Angelo David Encarnacion from University of the Philippines – Los Baños: 83.98%
  • Jaylord Piga Carbonell from Cagayan State University – Tuguegarao: 83.92%
  • Szarina Krisha King Ko from University of the Philippines – Los Baños: 83.74%
  • Jolorelle Dioso Rabanal III from University of the Philippines – Los Baños: 83.64%

A total of 1,057 took the exam.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees will be announced later, the PRC said.
