SAN PEDRO CITY–A man tagged as a “high value target” of the police for illegal drugs was killed in a buy-bust operation here, police said Sunday.
In a text message, Laguna police director Col. Eleazar Matta said they conducted the buy-bust around 10:30 p.m. Saturday in suspect Renan Mojado’s residence in Barangay (village) San Agustin, in the adjacent town of Alaminos.
Mojado, who was listed a police target in San Pablo City, drew and fired his gun, forcing police officers to return fire, Matta said.
Mojado was killed on the spot.
Recovered from him were eight sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth), worth P150,000. Police also found on the scene a 9mm gun. /je
