MANILA, Philippines — Western sections of northern and central Luzon, particularly the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, and the Babuyan Group of Islands, will have cloudy skies with isolated rain and thunderstorms due to southwest monsoon or “habagat” the weather bureau said in its 4:00 a.m. Friday forecast.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country meanwhile will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.
Pagasa said Luzon would have moderate to strong southwest wind and moderate to rough (1.2 to 3.4 meters) coastal waters. The rest of the country, meanwhile, will have light to moderate south-southwest wind and light to moderate (0.6 to 2.1 meters) coastal waters.
The lowest temperature was 28.2°C recorded at 5:50 a.m. while the maximum temperature will be 30.1°C at 3:50 p.m., according to Pagasa. /muf
